Re: It does not cost the CCA a dime ~~~

We’ve had this discussion before, John. You are not willing to attend the show on the club’s behalf yourself, and no one else, local or not, has stepped up to do so either. I traveled on my own dime to go to the show, and we did sign up one new member and I met a lot of really interesting collectors, some of whom said they were interested in joining. That trip did cost me about $5000 (that’s 500,000 dimes, by the way), but I did golf a little bit while I was there and enjoyed myself, so it wasn’t all work work work.

I would love to see your dime-free budget and your list of eager volunteers willing to go to the show on the club’s behalf. I will work with anyone who wants to do that, and even spend a dime or two of my own shipping materials that they can use on the table.

I hope, but am doubtful, that this puts the issue of the FUN show (and other regional shows) to rest.

Summary: if anyone reading, this is willing to attend any kind of collectible show on the clubs behalf, and can arrange for us to have a free table like the FUN group did, let me know, and I will be glad to help coordinate that with you.
