() I remember having an omelette for breakfast in Felix’s restaurant
in the summer of 1966 on one of my early trips around Nevada. I
would later get to know Felix and he became one of my favorite
club owners to talk to. Our family made a trip through Lovelock in
1960 and I remember looking into the casino from the side
door (I was only 17) and watching a guy shooting craps (later I
realized he was a shill). The first photo shows the Bank Club in
1937 before Felix took over. Felix’s father ran the Northern in Reno
and died in a fight at his daughters wedding reception at the
Riverside Hotel.
