A long-time California chip collector reached out to me via email to tell me that the CCC chip/S. S. Rex connection was made more than 20 years ago, when someone noticed that a photograph of the casino floor of the S. S. Rex showed the roulette table, and those CCC die-cut chips appeared to be in use on it.
