Visited a Chip Maker?

I’m gathering firsthand recollections for an ongoing casino-chip history project, and I would love to hear from anyone who personally visited a chip maker, casino-supply company, or retail counter back in the day.

I’m especially interested in T. R. King in Los Angeles and any Paulson location in Las Vegas, but I would also appreciate stories about any other maker or supplier.

Did you ever:

- Visit T. R. King, Paulson, Burt, ASM, Bud Jones, or another chip company in person?
- Buy casino overstock, replacement stock, samples, seconds, rejects, blanks, or custom chips directly from them?
- See display cases, price lists, catalogs, factory samples, old inventory, or custom-order materials?
- Meet employees, owners, salespeople, or family members connected to the company?
- Place a custom order or see chips being made?

Even small details can be useful: approximate year, location, who you met, what was available, how the chips were described, prices, and whether you have photos, receipts, catalogs, correspondence, or surviving chips.

I’m particularly trying to document how older casino chips sometimes reached collectors directly from manufacturers or suppliers, rather than through casino use. I’m not looking to assign values or expose anyone’s private information—just trying to preserve firsthand history before it disappears.

Please reply here, or send me a PM if you would rather share privately. Thanks in advance.
