As most of you know I have been selling a good portion of my collection on Ebay. If you have checked out my listings or even bought stuff from me, you are probably aware that I charge $4.99 flat rate charge for all auctions that are won. There have been two examples of where this is not true because the chips were in a box from the Fiesta and required a flat rate box.

Anyways, I went to print a shipping label this afternoon because a purchaser had paid. This package was going across the country but I was surprised that the USPS "Ground Advantage" cost through Ebay was $8.40. I knew stamps were going up $0.04 on the 12th of July but I didn't know that the were eliminating the 4oz and 8oz incremental pricing for my bubble mailers that I always use for shipping. Now the price for even a 1oz non envelope package defaults to the 12 - 15.99 oz price. They even increased the general cost of shipping - it looks like 11.8% This is unfortunate for everybody trying to ship chips around in a safe and secure manner.

I found this article and copied most of it in case anyone wants additional info. Sound like there are some other changes but they probably won't apply to shipping small quantities of chips. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I figured everyone would want to know.
