There is a significant difference between expressing an opinion about PokerChipper and publicly accusing me of being a "thief" and a "con man."
Those are not simply opinions about a website or a copyright dispute. They are factual accusations that I have engaged in criminal or fraudulent conduct.
I categorically deny those accusations.
If you believe there are legal issues involving copyright, fair use, or historical reference materials, those issues can be discussed respectfully and, if necessary, resolved through the legal system. However, publicly branding me as a criminal without any court finding or legal determination is another matter entirely.
I consider your statements to be defamatory, and I am formally placing you on notice that I will preserve this thread and any related communications as evidence. I am currently evaluating all available legal remedies, including a defamation action, should these false accusations continue or remain published.
I have spent years building PokerChipper for one purpose: to preserve the history of casino gaming, encourage research, educate collectors, and expand interest in this hobby. Whether someone agrees with that mission is a matter of opinion. Falsely accusing me of theft and fraud is not.
If you have evidence that I have committed a crime, I encourage you to present it to the appropriate authorities. If you do not, I suggest you reconsider making public statements that accuse me of criminal conduct.
I remain willing to discuss the legal and historical issues surrounding this hobby in a civil and factual manner. Personal attacks and false accusations have no place in that discussion.
