Non-LV Menu of the day grin

The Marjorie-May Cafe was in Carson City.

To the best of my knowledge, they didn't have gaming. BUT...as I've mentioned before, I pretty much always figure that bars and restaurants "back in the day" probably had a slot machine or three stuck in a corner someplace, even if they don't appear in our hobby reference guides. AND...there are some casino ads in the menu, so even if they didn't have a slot machine it fits into our collection grin

I admit that I didn't look in every single phone book, but I looked in several and 1939 was the only one where I found the Marjorie-May listed. Most of the other businesses advertised in the menu were in that phone book, but not all of them. So I'm going with circa 1939 grin

While I was at it, I googled. Here's what AI came up with...

AI Overview
The Marjorie May Café (also known as the Marjorie May Restaurant-Confectionery) operated in downtown Carson City, Nevada, roughly from the 1930’s to the 1940’s. It was located on North Carson Street and was notably owned by Marjorie Peterson and May Trundle.

The cafe was a popular downtown gathering spot featuring a distinctive outdoor sign and a confectionery fountain. The building itself, later known as the Hunter's Lodge, was located near the intersection of Spear and Robinson streets before the block was eventually redeveloped.
