
() I remember staying in a six dollar room at the Humboldt Hotel
and eating breakfast in the restaurant. Back then, most restaurants
had a placard on the wall stating the place had a grade A rating
but the Humboldt had one stating theirs was a grade C, the only
one I’d ever seen. I remember talking with Gus Knezevich and getting
old chips from him. I was sad when the place burned.
