
() Redd Foxx lost that house to the IRS in 1989 owing
four million in back taxes. I remember he had a nearby
shop selling off his possessions trying to pay down the
debt. He did stand-up at the Hacienda hotel in the 70s
and 80s. I dealt craps there in 1973 but never did see him.
I heard he spent a lot of time in the Keno lounge. He’s
buried at the Palm cemetery just down the street from
where he lived on Eastern ave.
