I remember buying a half dozen or so of those $5
L.C. chips from an old black guy at the Broadacres
swapmeet in the 70s. He said they were from the
Low Cost casino on the Westside but I’d never heard
such a place and thought they must be from the Little
Casino. Turns out there was such a place at 506 Jackson
st. from 1964-67. Since he lived there I guess he knew
what he was talking about out and probably played there.
