While I agree it's "not ready for prime time" in a number of ways, it does have utility for allowing hotels like Resorts World to call themselves "convention" hotels. And when the LV strip is jammed and there's a BIG event going on at the convention center, like SEMA or similar, I can see where an underground trip on the "Loop" makes sense.

I DO like the monorail a lot, if it's going where you want it to.
