I look at the artistry on classic chip inlays as small pieces of art & history, all rolled into one. While I've known of the chip artwork on the MoGH site (it's been there for years), I haven't scrolled through it in some time.
In doing so again today, I'm reminded of the beauty and historical importance the surviving designs have for the hobby.

Much thanks to David Sarles for his role in preserving the artwork and for allowing it to be posted for all to see. (BTW, I signed off as a CCA member, then went through the link to the page above, and it all appears. It's not one of the advanced features that only members can see. A nice touch -- open to the general public as a free resource.
