The B*G chips were used for special games
In Response To: Sold to the club owner in 1957 ()

It's been a few years and many chips ago but . . . I remember seeing some large crown chips in the cashier's cage at the club. And the owner (at least club manager) who was dealing at a table told me that they were not for sale. He said they were used for tournaments, I believe, and that the prices of the chips were not as marked. For example, a $1 large crown might have been used as a $100 chip. And with that, he had to get back to his game. There were only a few LC chips back there - maybe 6 or each color. Perhaps 19th Hole got rid of its old chips which is how your stash came to be. It seems logical that if no LC chips were allowed out of the building, there are yet colors/denominations to be reported.
