Be careful, the € 500 and € 200 bills are no longer in use in most shops.
The best bills are the 50's and smaller.
Also most banks do not longer take foreign cash and Paypal isn't really in use in Belgium in shops.

Enjoy Brussels but I would prefer Bruges.
