Mike, I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that someone probably found a small bunch of them.
I personally don’t know the full story, but from what I remember seeing, someone was trying to buy them all from the original seller. That would explain why more $1s and $5s have been showing up lately.
Some recent sold prices I saw:
$5 — sold Apr. 22, 2026 for $199.99
$1 — sold Apr. 22, 2026 for $202.50
$5 — sold Apr. 10, 2026 for $399.95
$1 — sold Apr. 10, 2026 for $190.50
$5 — sold Apr. 10, 2026 for $898.00
$5 — sold Apr. 3, 2026 for $362.00
$1 — sold Apr. 3, 2026 for $400.00
There were also older sales showing a 50¢ at $635 and a $1 at $510 back in April 2025. So yeah, I’d say more were probably found, but they’re still clearly getting strong money depending on condition, timing, and who’s chasing them.
