
so the intent is clear. No idea why they made it the way they did. It would be fine if they used a dollar sign instead of a cent sign.
The one thing that seems clear to me is that they purposely made that chip look much different than the other denominations because they intended it to be a limited use chip, only at a particular type of table. The tables that had them, only had about half of the slot filled, if that, whereas the other slots were all completely filled. I imagine it's possible that these chips get much harder to get in the future.
