According to Marshall Fey, Hubert and John Buckley came
to Nevada in the late 40s to operate the Buckley Vending
Co. Apparently they had a lot of machines on their hands
after various states outlawed them. I remember playing
Buckley machines in many of the bars in Reno and Sparks
in the 60s and 70s. Many were Criss Cross Belles the
forerunner of Jennings Tic Tac Toe machines.
