A bit of trivia -- inside the lamppost light, the flame looks like a maple leaf. Supposedly, for a period of time, the Bourbon Street owner was Canadian, and the leaf is a Canadian maple leaf.

I can't independently confirm it, but that's what I've heard over the years.
