Earlier, Richard showed the five cent chip from the
Atomic Club in Beatty. Many years ago Carey Burke
gave me this $5 chip from a find of seven he found.
I believe this place was later the now gone Burro Inn.
The owner told me the place was built to withstand
an Atomic test at the nearby Nevada Test Site. The
nearby Horseshoe Motel was owned by Lila Lutzinger a
lady I met at long gone Slims Place at Scotty’s Junction.
I’ve looked through all the photos at the Beatty Museum
and Library but have never found a photo of the Atomic Club.
