Stood in line for 1.5 hours behind at least 250 people to get chips today at the grand opening of Harrah’s in Chandler, OK.

Picked up a complete set of 50 cents to $100 and just submitted to Chip Guide. First time I have acquired chips personally that have never been put in play. Bill T, I have your 50 cent chip and it will be in the mail soon. Virgil F, I have your $1 chip and it will be in the mail soon. Ron G, I am disappointed to report there were no GO, LE or any other grand opening items.

I picked up extras of the $1 and 50 cents chips. If you would like one, email me. I will bring to convention and save the postage if you are attending. If not we can work out mailing.

The chips are Hat & Cane and just say Harrah’s Oklahoma (no town) which leads me to believe if Harrah’s opens another Oklahoma location we are going to see the same chips.

The casino is nice - about 12 table games but no poker room. Located just off I-44 roughly half way between Tulsa and OKC. I don’t know that table games will survive in this sort of “middle of nowhere” location. If you collect Oklahoma chips I would pick these up this year.
