After 5 years, I still feel the same!

Wow, it's not often that John gives me some press. I was under the impression you didn't like me.

Bottom line: A majority of our membership don't care who is on the board, nor do they know anything about the club's politics or the candidates. If they did, they would cast a ballot.

If you are asking 100% of the membership to vote, you would get 25% from informed voters, and 75% votes that would be based on randomness or popularity.

The CCA is a collectors' club. Most members want to collect chips and stay out of politics.

Should all members be interested in how the club is run? Yes, that would be great. But they aren't.

If only 25% of the membership care enough to put a ballot in the mail, and 75% are good with "whoever", then fine.

There is nothing broken in our elections.
