My Take On Participation and Voting

I’ll respectfully disagree with the idea that fewer members voting is a positive.

I believe the strength of this club comes from the entire membership, not just the most active portion of it.

Not everyone participates the same way. Some members are on the board daily, some attend every convention, and others quietly enjoy collecting, reading the magazine, and following along in their own way. That doesn’t make their perspective any less valid.

In fact, those quieter members make up a large part of the club.

If someone has taken the time to join the CCA, support it, and be part of the hobby, then their voice should absolutely be part of the process.

To me, participation isn’t something to limit—it’s something to encourage.

The more members who take part, the more the outcome reflects the club as a whole.
