A few more AZ Chaz Items...

Way back on January 1st, 1999, AZ Charlie's on Decatur was using these Ticket Out -only, payment slips from their slot machines. Printed in duplicate, but since I kept both copies, I did not learn how these were handled at the cage. Did the cage keep both tickets, or did one copy go to the customer? Does anyone here know? I need to add this to ChipGuide and would like to be able to explain this pre-TITO instrument.

Below is an error $5 Chipco chip. It appears that somehow, during the manufacturing process of blank silicone (ceramic) chips, an edge of another chip was pressed into this chip. Later, when the printing process (dye-sublimation sheets, being pressed to the surface of the chips) resulted in a transfer of inks to the chip's surface, as well as the recessed area of the chip. When the chip was used in-play the surface area developed wear, but not the recessed area. (If anyone has a different suggestion as to how this error happened, then please feel free to post, or email me. Shown are 2 different chips. The image at left is just to show what a typical AZ Charlie's $5 Chipco looks like.

Below is the $5 Slot Machine token.

When AZ Charlie's East opened, these chips were giveaways on opening night.

Lastly, here is one of the infamous $1 AZ Charlie's, mock, slabbed chip, given out at one of the CCA Conventions as a sample of what the company was offering. NOTE: Because this chip is NOT graded, it is NOT considered to be a "slabbed" chip.
