() That particular show was a great success. I believe that we heard from many, and I've seen some YouTubes from folks who "covered" the show saying they saw it on the news.
As far as welcoming "other" collectors - dealers, we did end up with approx. 80+ dealers and 100 tables. which I believe exposed collectors to our hobby.
I believe since the SNCCC merged with the Bottle club there has been some issue finding an affordable venue as Gold Coast raised their rate and we definitely had some issues like the fact that the freight elevators were broken all weekend which made it extremely hard to setup and tear down, I'm not sure where they are at currently on a spring show.
I think a second show, bi annual if you will, somewhere in the central part of the country would be a great idea for the club. I'm not the biggest fan of Fathers day and hot summer June for the convention but its not my choice and don't know why were stuck on that weekend. I think spring and fall would be great. The second show can be less convention like and more collectibles show like as we had GREAT attendance for the spring show.
I think shows expose us to the collecting world and a central US show is much closer to everyone than the trek to Nevada which can be arduous to east coasters and southerners. Chicago comes to mind.
