I would always stop and talk to Felix at his club in Lovelock
when I was looking for chips in the 70s. He always told me
about the time his father was killed in an argument at the
Riverside Hotel in Reno and other stories about old Lovelock.
He got busted for cheating but was cleared at trial. Later all
the stuff in the club was auctioned off (photo). I remember
the large CM Russell prints on the walls. His dog slept under
the roulette table. Felix’s and the other buildings except one
are now gone destroyed in a fire.
