() After almost 5 years and approaching 1000 members at PokerChipper.com we have NEVER experienced any such activity at our site. I guess using modern tech has helped along with security vigilance. Again the safety of the members and the now membership requirements it would seem now require a more stable platform. When its free we can make excuses. When we charge we have to be the BEST we can be!
📊 Why this site is especially vulnerable
Based on everything:
Likely single origin server
No CDN buffering traffic
Probably limited bandwidth
Database-heavy (searchable archive)
👉 That combo is fragile under load
Real-world attacker mindset
They don’t need to “hack” anything.
They just:
Find IP (easy here)
Send enough traffic to overwhelm:
CPU
connections
or bandwidth
️ Important nuance
This doesn’t mean:
The site is badly coded
Or insecure in a traditional sense
It means:
It lacks infrastructure-level protection
🎯 Bottom line
Current state:
🟢 Works fine under normal traffic
🔴 Easy to disrupt if targeted
Why:
Direct IP exposure
No traffic filtering layer
Likely limited network capacity
