I have a feeling that it no longer exists sad . At least not in the sidewalk.

When that press release was issued, Fremont street was still a street...the sidewalk would have been between the street and the buildings.

Don't quote me on the date, but I think it was in 1993 (or 1995) that Fremont street was torn out...along with the sidewalks. The pedestrian walkway, or Fremont Street Experience, replaced it.

The Coin Castle was replaced by LaBayou...and the sidewalk looks like polished concrete.

In 2016 La Bayou was torn down, to accommodate an expansion of The Golden Gate
