First of all, we are very lucky to have Mike Nawrocki as our Membership Director. He has clearly shown us how our membership is responding to renewals.

What seems troubling is that 2 of our Club officers have done very little to increase our membership. It is apparent that only one candidate has been aggressive enough to recruit new members. That candidate, Dan Madrigrano, has almost doubled the combined total of all the other Club members.

This endeavor should be a top priority. Granted, there are many new projects at hand and also an attempt to clean up some old antiquated systems, but those items should not distract us. All the candidates and most of the membership are talking about the need to attract new members. Well, take a look at Dan's numbers and see that he is bringing in more members without breaking a sweat.

This election is important, and the main thrust for all Board members should be to get new members. All the other projects, although necessary, should be secondary.
