While Mike’s graphs may seem simple, I hope everyone realizes the amount of time, effort, and thought that has to go into creating something like this. Behind every one of those cells is a formula that Mike has created, modified, and tweaked over and over again to make sure that the values and colors offer the viewer an easy-to-grasp understanding of the relationship between thousands of rows and columns of data behind the scenes.

I’ve seen the data that was handed to him, and although it was as complete as it could be, and we owe all of our past membership directors a round of applause for keeping everything straight… as a data analyst myself, I can tell you that there is a lot of room for cleanup and data validation.

Mike is doing a tremendous job with this, and in spite of all of the hours I am sure he is putting into his Membership duties every week, he continues to contribute to several other club projects as well, including the creation of, and dissemination of, the club magazine, an announcement about which will be coming out very soon. He and his wife Kathy are also one of the first people to show up for setup at the convention days before we open, and he and Kathy are there to help put everything away afterwards as well.

Mike, I think I can speak on behalf of the entire club when I say thank you so much for everything you are doing in your capacity as membership officer, as a board member, and as a club member.
