I’m a little confused here. Kling has the original Wagon
Wheel at 136 E. Commercial Row from ‘45-‘60 and the
second one at 116 E. Commercial Row from ‘56-60. You
have the opposite. Then he says gaming was again licensed
at the new location at the 136 address. Also your pc shows
a band and classy bartender where Kling says it was patronized
by the homeless, unemployed, and minorities. And what’s with
the burning trees in the background? My photo (first) shows
the SP bar around 1970 at the 136 location which was the WW
and was later incorporated into the Cosmo Club. The Menlo Hotel
was at 114 E. Commercial Row so the second WW was just
west of that. The second photo shows the Miners (128) and Depot
bar (124). I remember the Depot and Aggies next door and they
were all pretty crummy places. By the way, there was an underground
tunnel that connected all these places that came out in the dealer’s
room at the Overland Hotel. It was kind of creepy.
