Just a heads-up about airfare if you’re planning to fly to Las Vegas this summer. The FIFA World Cup kicks off June 11 across North America and it’s sending airfares through the roof.

My wife travels to several cities in Texas for work and recently had to book a round-trip flight from Wichita to Dallas–Fort Worth the week after our convention. That 1-hour flight that’s usually $250–$500 was over $1,000. 😳

So expect some sticker shock and, if possible, avoid flying into or through World Cup host cities.
