Cross posting with other communities

Hi all,

Some people might recognise my posts over on the facebook group where I have posted my chip collecting journey and some mini essays I have written.

I thought this side of the community would be interested to see a post i made that really highlights the potential for cross appeal. As a gamer (and Pokemon card collector but that's another story) I decided to show off some chips I have that are related to a video game called Fallout New Vegas. I will provide screenshot of the views it received, metrics, and some of the comments etc. In short there is a lot of potential with younger collectors like myself. Its very much about targeting new audiences in new places. There is a cross appeal with younger audiences or audiences in totally different hobby circles. I just thought this would be interesting and something others could do to maintain the hobby and introduce people to the world of collecting. Sadly I think there is some incompatibilities which come with new demographics and forms of collecting younger people like myself are doing but anyway thought you guys might be interested in seeing the engagement. There is a lot of potential - but also one must acknowledge the changing landscape that means its not what people collect but their interaction with collecting. People are interested in chips (although this is a small sample size) but the appeal is not sometimes the chips but how the chips relate to other hobbies. But there are communities with younger audiences out there.

Post is located here on reddit - the group has 493,000 members.
