I can’t imagine why we wouldn’t reinstate the number, but not count the years away towards their membership years (pins).

I’m not sure why someone would refuse the sign back up because they couldn’t get their old number, but I also can’t understand why the club feels that they shouldn’t have it.

People leave for various reasons. If they want back in, and petty rules like this are standing in their way, then fix it.

As for those who did pay in the past? Those were the rules then. We can’t be afraid to make changes because someone feels hard done about something that happened in the past. Maybe if they paid it in the last year or so, give them credit for future years membership?
