There have been several announcements about the structure being changed for the 2026 tournament. I don't have time to look them up right now, but the complaints were heard about the quick bust-outs last year. The revised structure will afford more playing time as I understand it.

CCA (the Poker Tournament Director) works with the Poker Room person in charge to set the structure (blinds, # of chips initially, # of rebuys & price, etc. I think the time interval (15 minutes, or is it 20 minutes?) between rounds is same as always, and break times, race for odd color-ups, etc. probably remain the same. It's not unlimited options about the structure -- we're not doing a deep stack and play till dawn -- but it should be much better this coming show. (Though I'm not involved in the changes above.)
