Why I Believe Danny Deserves Consideration

I also wanted to share a few thoughts about Danny.

In my opinion, Danny has a very solid handle on where this club could go and what the future might look like. I have known Danny for close to five years now, though honestly time has flown. I was originally introduced to him as a customer, and over time he became someone I’ve come to know as “Uncle Danny.”

We have had many phone calls over the years about everything from chips to the hobby in general. One thing that has always stood out to me is his genuine passion. He has built some truly impressive chip sets, and to me that is one of the best ways to preserve casino history.

Beyond collecting, Danny created PokerChipper.com, which in my view has grown into a strong and very engaged community. I have been around that group for quite a while, and what stands out is how welcoming and interactive it feels. That kind of environment does not happen by accident.

More importantly, Danny has consistently been someone who helps newer collectors and fellow members. He shares information freely, gives heads-ups when something interesting pops up, and is always willing to point people in the right direction, whether that is at the chip show or just in everyday conversations. In my experience, his mindset has always been about growing the hobby and helping others enjoy it.

I also know from many conversations that he genuinely wants to see the club succeed long term. With Danny now retired and having more time to dedicate, I do believe he could bring meaningful energy and fresh perspective.

I fully respect the work that long-time leadership has put in over the years. At the same time, organizations sometimes need new ideas and renewed momentum to continue moving forward. If the goal is long-term health and growth, I personally think voices like Danny’s are worth serious consideration.
