Are we talking to ourselves?

Since I feel this is one of the best places to do so I guess this is the place to post my second thought of the day.

Fellow collectors,

I’ve been thinking about something that may be worth discussing.

A large percentage of our club conversations happen on TheChipBoard. It’s an active, engaged community, and clearly an important gathering place for many members.

But most of the people reading and posting there are already part of the hobby. Many are already members.

If we are primarily discussing growth and outreach in a space where 99% of the audience is already inside the circle, we may unintentionally be preaching to the choir.

That’s not a criticism of any platform. It’s simply an observation.

If we want new collectors to discover the CCA, we need visibility beyond the spaces where existing members already gather.

That could mean:

• More outward-facing social media presence.

• More cross-posting into broader memorabilia or collecting communities.

• Making sure the official club platforms are active and easy to find.

• Ensuring the CCA’s own channels are the primary source of information.

Growth requires outward energy.

If we only advertise the club to ourselves, we limit our reach.

Respectfully, and focused on the future,
