Thanks for the question...
I like Charles K's interview on Turnpike... Solid programming for the CCA!
I would like to see CCA gear its programming toward a contemporary audience. Having YouTube as a free
platform, I think the CCA could work on our branding there on our YouTube channel. We could be more active
there. We need reoccurring programming uploaded so that people can follow us and our activities from YouTube.
If you subscribe to the CCA on YouTube ... YouTube will send our content to you when new videos are uploaded.
A YouTube program example...
"WEDNESDAYS WITH..." a monthly series that happens on the first Wednesday of each month, where an
interesting person is asked 10 questions. This could be a old-time casino executive, chip maker... anyone that could
share knowledge regarding casino history. This would directly tie into our mission and be free to the public. But
we would need to make the content concise, not like the hour+ long no edit lecturer videos. We need to be in the
entertainment business. So... short and to the point is what people want on YouTube. btw... these questions could
also be done over zoom with international participants.
I used to really enjoy reading Gene Trimble's "Illegal of the Day" series here, it would be interesting to see those
adapted/narrated for CCA YouTube content.
So much we can to do to make our mission relevant, we are doing it, but we should always look to be better.
