hello everyone,

it’s that time when we are looking for this years 2026 cca convention volunteers.

we are doing something new this year and it will most definitely make the future for all volunteers much easier for everyone involved. i wrangled the famous texan,mike nawrocki into setting up a google sheet for all convention volunteer spots. to be honest, he has wanted to do it for a couple of years now and this was the best time to jump in.

as most of you know, i have the computer skills of a first grader but mike assured me this will be almost fool proof. i have given mike last years volunteer list and we are still contacting a few more of the people in charge of the specific volunteer areas to get their input. when the google sheets come out, it will have the volunteer positions, days and hours needed with color coded boxes. some will already be filled with a volunteers name and some with what’s vacant and needing to be filled by us. you will be able to click a volunteer tab and there will be a screen pop up that you can click the position and fill out your preference. it will then email me right away. i will check my email a dozen times a day and immediately put you down for that exact spot you asked for. this way you can see your name associated with volunteer sheet.

mike will put this live on 4/1/2026, april fools day. mike said that day didn’t have anything to do with me but he’s still gonna owe me a couple of south point vienna beef dogs either way. 🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭.

for all cca convention volunteers from last year, please let me know if you want these same volunteer spots you had in 2025, we are giving you all first dibbs on those spots if you want them. if you need to change times, i can also make that happen as well. i

we are also doing the free volunteer reception at 7:00pm on the last day of the convention. there will be some food,drinks (no booze) and sweets. last year had some great items along with a great speaker.
at the reception, we will hand out your volunteer plaque/chip as we have for many years. for those unable to attend the volunteer reception, let me know and i can give you your plaque/chip during the show as i have done in the past to save the club from shipping them.
