I was studying our club Constitution ( https://www.ccgtcc.com/about/constitution.aspx ) and Bylaws ( https://www.ccgtcc.com/about/bylaws.aspx ) I came across an interesting clause in the Bylaws:

...at no time may a Convention or MoGH Chair be appointed who is a current Club Officer..

Unless I am misinterpreting the Bylaws, what you are expecting is actually prohibited.

Can any of the OGs here comment about the thinking behind this very specific clause?
