In the early days of Cuban chips, when there were enough chips in Cuba that they did not need to make false ones or import some to sell as Cubans, several of us, during different trips, found large quantities of these KD chips. They were all found in Havana and in the Vedado area. So, yes they were used in Cuba. However, we only found three types of the KD. I do not have my notes with me now to describe the colors.

At the time, we found many chips made for American clubs or casino in Cuba mostly illegals and mostly from Fl but also from Newport and all the way to the Christiania Club/casino. Of interest is that in all cases the chips found were only of 2-3 types or colors of the multiple used in the original USA casinos.

Back then, over 20 years ago, there were still old people who had worked in Cuban casinos, legal or illegal, as young men, and could still attest to a lot of information. They said that many large illegal casinos in Cuba would buy a number of chips from American casinos, which was cheaper than making them there. They said that most of those casinos in the USA sold the chips to Cuba after closing their doors.

Do not get me wrong, there were not many of those cases. But they certainly existed and used in Cuba.
