Not trying to drop a turd in the punch bowl or stir up anything but my genuine question is why would a non-board member be the negotiator between the venue and the club? I assume when you say David you mean Spragg. Again I’m not saying I’m opposed just genuinely curious as to why a convention chair wouldn’t be from the board. It sounds like something a member at large could take on as a responsibility as in past posts here in elsewhere, I thought I remember it being stated that the member at large positions were being considered for removal for one reason or another. I get that those two positions having non-voting rights on the board, somewhat neutralize those positions and make them advisory only but I guess my thought is the more voices the better I believe those two positions should have voting rights. Again, just a question in some thoughts not really looking to draw out a long discussion about it or hear about the procedures for changing the constitution, etc.
