I switched to Frontier and Spirit when they came around because they don't build a "free bag" into their pricing. I don't travel with bags, so it became much more affordable to fly the then-new discount airlines. Meanwhile, I flew to NYC and Atlantic City each for $19 roundtrip. LA for $100 round trip. Florida for $50, $75, and now $99 roundtrip.
