I'll toss out my first reaction. This dialog is no comparison to Marcel Proust's "Remembrance of Things Past" novel, which weighs in at 7-volumes, translated from French, as the longest novel ever written (per Guinness World Records) at 9,609,000 characters.
No, I haven't read it. But in it, there's contemplation of a madeleine cookie, which I like very much. Yum!
