Gentlemen,

I like you both. this convo is going nowhere. PokerChipper was founded partly because many members of PCF were tired of their posts and comments being "Edited" or "censored", warnings issued to members who said unwanted things even if true. There was, and most likely still is, a protected class of members who if were challenged or questioned their comments were simply edited, censored or the member even banned and this behavior pissed many off who disliked that behavior.

It is a bit dismaying to see that same thought process mentioned, even threatened here or anywhere else, ie. "go ahead and try it", freedom of speech and the consequences of living with what you post is real life and if someone has the power to edit others speech there is a natural question of how they may use that power. Aside from the protection of ones safety or privacy of their personal information the editing of ones speech is a gross practice that should always be prohibited. While discourse can be censured or "rules of engagement" set and followed, the threat of censorship is a drastic idea.

Again, being nice is free, being civil to each other is also free. Threatening someone with censorship or practicing it is clearly a violation of ethics in any space. One can be dealt with for violations of ehics and civility can be asked for but lets tread lightly on the quashing of ones freedoms, we are in America not North Korea or Russia. I agree that negative speech in a campaign is not wanted and can and should be asked for but we cannot get to the point of having "Approved" speech. This a collecting club of 800 or so nice folks, not a kingdom. We're collecting casino things and chips not launching rockets.
