I was hoping that in this election, the comments made would all be positive, looking towards the future, talking about better times to come, who offers the most for the CCA. But, Vergatos has cast the first stone. His negative comments only hurt the election, the CCA and the hobby. I was hoping that I would not have to make a post like this, but a response is needed.

CCA membership declined while Vergatos was President. The CCA treasury declined dramatically while he was president. He has nothing to offer to help increase membership, he only has harsh words for those who stood up to his failed leadership and extravagant unauthorized spending of CCA funds. Please remember that he quit the presidency and the convention chairmanship only months before the event. It is a miracle that the rest of the board was able to pull the convention together. What I take from his comments on Jim Follis is jealously. In the last election, he lost the VP election to Jim in a landslide. The CCA membership has spoken loudly and clearly about his fitness for CCA office, his inability to move the CCA forward. So very sad. I wonder what he will say about me now?

Jim Follis is one of the most hard working CCA officials, ever. He has taken on multiple roles within the CCA and the MoGH. His devotion to the CCA and the hobby is in his DNA. Jim, though out his years as an officer, is void of any controversy. Not looking for the spotlight, he does his work quietly and professionally. Jim has earned my, and I hope your, vote to be reelected CCA VP.

PS. No matter what, this is my first and last post about this election that will have any negativity. If there is another negative post, I will not respond. I said what I have to say. The negative comments only hurt they do not help.
