At a $10,000 buy it now price for a $100 chip, I think I'll pass anyway!
From Bob M's NGCB listing, it appears that it's a live chip, valued by NGCB at $500,000 total face value. Assumedly, the boxes of these chips sit in the El Cortez vault, minus the ones that may have been purchased out of the cage for face value+ by Vegas Matt or others.
The one thing I'm not sure about is if El Cortez has to keep any incremental cash on hand (or in a bank account) once it accepted this shipment into their cage? The NGCB cash-available regulations are mostly about the number of games (live, machines, etc.) and levels of play rather than chip cash values, so it's likely it doesn't make a difference in being required to have a greater cash + bank line of credit.
