Re: Most of them came from ebay... grin
In Response To: Where do you find these? ()

My husband and I used to search ebay pretty regularly, looking for collectible Nevada casino "stuff" that we didn't have.

One of us spotted an auction for an old Nevada phone book. Then we looked to see what else the seller had and she had SEVEN old Nevada phone books from the 1940's and 1950's. First we snorted in amusement "who would want dusty old phone books?" Then we started thinking about it, I don't remember if the seller might have scanned some of the old ads or not. Then we decided that they might be pretty cool! We didn't have a clue what they might sell for... My budget was $200...whether it covered one phone book or all 7 of them. grin It covered all 7 grin .

When they arrived we started looking through them and found listings for casino owners, and clubs we'd never heard of, and ads in the yellow pages, and all kinds of neat stuff!! We've bought a lot more since then. Now they're one of my favorite parts of our collection!! grin
