Reno day 109
Reno day 109
() I’ve had a few beers in the Roundup when I lived in Reno
in the 60s and 70s. It was a hangout for cowboys looking
for work and the lady who owned it helped a lot of them
out. Cowboy artists like Frank Polk drank there and some
of their works were on display. Frank was the guy who
carved the one arm bandit slot machines and stuttered
when he talked except when he was drunk which was
often. I’m not sure when the Roundup closed but the place
was still a bar afterwards. I’m not sure if it’s still open.
