We had this matchbook but I couldn't find the Roundup Bar on The Chipguide or in Fuller's Index or in Dwayne Kling's "Rise of the Biggest Little City". So I figured there was no gambling...and maybe the bar never opened? Then I looked in "Fuller's Index Plus"...“Approved but never active”, but there were no dates. Then I started looking in phone books...I was surprised that I found it in every phone book that I checked from 1937-1964. When I got to 1964 I was tired of looking, so I stopped. Apparently the bar was on Second Street for a very long time!
