CCA Election Suggestion - Candidate Meet & Greet

I was thinking about the upcoming election, and we now have 8 candidates running for 3 available positions.

While I know all of them personally and consider them all to be friends, unfortunately many of our members don't know many of the candidates.

Would the Club consider hosting a zoom Meet and Greet with all candidates invited?

I really don't want this to be a "debate" as that never seems to end well, but instead in an hour or so we can give 5-10 minutes to each candidate to tell us a little about themselves and their involvement in the club or hobby.

That way at least people can put a face with a name.

Remember with only 3 of those folks ending up being elected, that means we will have 5 that wont. I would sincerely hope that those remaining 5 consider filling other needed roles within the club and this is a great way to find out what they could help doing and skills that few of us are aware of.

Just a thought and I think it would be an interesting way to approach future elections, especially as we move more towards an online age of doing business.

What are everyone elses thoughts?
